[ORIGINAL] Replacement Dimmer Cord/Wire For All Salt Lamps

I love the fact that the switches are dimmable. I honestly wouldn't have it any other way for a salt lamp. Unfortunately there are some quality control issues with the product. We purchased four lamps and one of them was WAY brighter than the others (see photo 1). Caroline on their Support Team (who is fantastic!) replaced it for us, but we realized the replacement didn't get as dim as the others. I then compared all five and noticed two got very dim, two got medium dim (again, see photo 1). We did try exchanging bulbs in all of these, and the results were the same, so the issue is definitely the dimmer. I then compared the two non-defective groups at their lowest and highest settings (see photos 2 & 3). I was surprised to find that the one that got dimmest also got brighter than the others. Clearly that's the best one, since it can go lower AND higher. I wish they were all like that. They do seem to be a different brand of dimmer bc they have different markings on the front and back vs the medium dim units.

All is good with this cord. When I opened I wasn’t sure as the base looked so different from my original. But it fit like it said it would on my Salt lamp. I got bulbs as well. They fit too.

Once our new replacement electric plug-in light cord was shipped out the door of the warehouse and arrived as promised, we installed as soon as possible. It worked magically. The only thing that surprised me was that when inserting the light into the salt light, it sits on a little perch, not flush with the existing wood base of the salt lamp. But never-the-less it works well, just raises the lamp up a bit higher. Thank you!

I got this lamp as a gift. It is beautiful!! After a few years my cord stopped working. I looked at the bottom of the salt rock and found Himalayan salt co. and ordered a replacement cord. It came in quickly, but failed to work. I contacted them about the defective cord and they replaced it immediately! Just wonderful. Now I'm enjoying my beautiful salt lamp again...all day, every day!! Thank you.

I bought the medium salt stone about a year ago. I read the reviews of other people who had problems with the cord or light switch but I did not have an issue until I moved and I think possibly the jostling around in the box might’ve made it so that I need a new cord. Which thanks to purchasing a genuine Himalayan salt stone I was able to just go on the website and purchase one for under $20. I now have it set in the stairway as a nightlight and absolutely love it!!

I bought the generic salt lamp. When it came in, the cable and bulb holder came broken because of shipping issues. I contacted the company and they quickly sent me a new replacement and everything worked great. I love how you can dim the light and brighten it. There was a minor setback with the use of the salt lamps because 2 of the 3 I purchased had defects with the cords. The response time from Himalayan was long BUT, they did take care of my request. I looked everywhere for a UL listed replacement cord for my daughter's salt lamp and finally came across this one. I'm so glad I ended up with it instead of one from another website! The original cord that came with the lamp was damaged, wouldn't dim, and the switch overheated quickly so I searched high and low for another cord I felt would be safer. This one doesn't overheat and dims perfectly. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because you have to go right far down the cord to get to the switch. If the switch was just a few inches toward the top of the cord it would be absolutely perfect! Otherwise it's a great cord..just make sure you buy bulbs too because it's just the cord, no bulb included.

Love this dimming salt lamp cord! It was easy to install and use, fits my lamp perfectly and my lamp stays warm even on the dim setting (it also has the light bulb sold by Himalayan Trading Company). Simple all-in-one dial turns the power on and off and adjusts the brightness.

Actually ship products that work. My expensive lamp does not work at all and I’m going back and forth with customer service on email getting NO resolution whatsoever. The product is nice. Shipping was slow and what I thought I had ordered in plenty of time for a Valentine’s Day gift was very late. I ordered an extra large, but I should have found a place to buy in person to find one a bit taller and narrower to compliment one I already have. The customer service is great.
